Plans for All Night Long After Prom Party are underway
Plans are underway for the William Monroe High School 2008 All Night Long After Prom Party. As in past years, the event will be held at Nathanael Greene Elementary School Saturday, May 10, 11:30 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 11.

Our immune system is amazing! It is constantly building up protection from outside “invaders” with antibodies that seek out and destroy unwelcome viruses or bacteria. Immunizations work by “tricking” our immune system or rather giving our immune system a mini workout
Fun field trip at the Rapidan River
Half the sixth grade students from WMMS went on an exciting field trip to the Rapidan River to see how healthy the stream is. Some of their favorite parts were getting wet, catching and identifying bugs, and the visual assessment. The students tested the pH level, which was about 5.5. That means the river is in a good condition.
Memories of Main Street: Stanardsville looks back
The Town contained “stores galore, with four soda fountains and ice cream by the ton,” Bickers wrote. “We have the Red Cross and Ladies Aid Society, a large Sunday School where all go except a few moss backs and roughnecks,” Bickers wrote. “We have a High School, parent-teachers society and a community league that meets on the hill. And we have good town officers … Ours is a model town.”
It was in Bickers’ “model town” that Martha Jeraldine Morris Tata grew up over the course of the next two decades
