Plans are underway for the William Monroe High School 2008 All Night Long After Prom Party. As in past years, the event will be held at Nathanael Greene Elementary School Saturday, May 10, 11:30 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 11.
We are hoping that we can make this an event to remember for juniors and seniors, as well as their guests. Students do not need to attend the prom nor do you need a “date” in order to come to the All Night Long.
Many fun activities are in the works and the time will fly! We will have lots of entertainment, a variety of food and many wonderful prizes, with the addition of each student taking home some memorable souvenirs.
Again this year, our ultimate goal is to give our students a different, yet fun-filled, alcohol-free option for their After Prom Party. All Night Long keeps many students from going to other parties, maybe those less desirable by parents.
The committee is busy working hard to raise all of the $8,000 it takes to hold this event and we are not there yet.  Fundraising is pretty nerve-wracking. Any monetary assistance you can provide, large or small, could help make this a successful event and can be sent to: All Night Long, P. O. Box 508, Ruckersville, Virginia 22968, as soon as possible, please. If you would prefer to make a non-cash contribution, such as merchandise to be used as a prize, please contact 434-985-7247 for pickup.
With so much violence in our world today, we want to provide our young people with the opportunity to share some wonderful moments with their classmates and friends in a drug-free, alcohol free and safe environment after the prom. This event will allow us to do just that with your help.
