To the Editor:
During the past school year, the students of NGES held their SAC annual fundraiser.
The students then had several choices as to how to use the money they raised. One of the items on their list of choices was to help improve their own playground.
The Humane Society knows how wonderful young people are-and the students at NGES proved we were right.
The students voted to split their fundraising efforts equally between renovating their playground and helping animals in the community.
These caring students have allowed the Humane Society to work cooperatively with GRACE (Greene Alliance of Church and Community Efforts) to provide care for many pets in their community-pets whose owners are having temporary difficulties in providing needed treatments. These services have included flea treatment, spay and neuter services, vaccinations and treatment for other conditions.
The Humane Society wishes to thank the students of NGES for caring about the pets in their community. Thank you!
