To the Editor:
On behalf of the JABA Community Center for Seniors of Greene,we would like to express out appreciation to the Battlefield-Piedmont TRIAD for an incredible evening of fun and food on April 19th at the Senior Center on Pepsi Place in Charlottesville.  The “Senior Prom” was entirely free to the seniors in the area.  The food was so tasty and the music was great and many of the seniors danced the night away.  Law enforcement officers from the local TRIADs served us looking fit and fine in their uniforms.  We also wish to thank Beverly Heroy, President of the Greene County TRIAD for
facilitating the invitation to the Greene County seniors.  Eighteen seniors, ages 68 to 102 from JABA’s Greene Center attended and they all had a wonderful time. One of songs played that evening was
Toby Keith’s “I ain’t as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was.” And that about sums up the sentiment of our seniors!
We would also like to thank the Greene County Transit and especially Sherwood for providing transportation for our seniors to the “Senior Prom”; picking up each at their door and depositing them on the return trip.  Since this was an evening affair many of our group would not have been to attend if not for the Transit.
Thank you all again for a memorable evening,

Barbara Berger
