The Greene County School Board is pleased to announce the unanimous appointment of Jason Davis as the principal of Greene County Primary School, effective July 1. Mr. Davis served as the assistant principal of Nathanael Greene Elementary School during the past school year and was previously a special education teacher for seven years in Prince William County and Orange County, respectively. Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University and two master degrees, one from Old Dominion, the other from George Mason University. He replaces Andrea Whitmarsh, who was recently appointed as Greene County’s new Director of Student Achievement and Accountability.
“The primary school is moving in the right direction and is certainly onboard with the collective vision of Greene County Public Schools,” stated new Greene County Schools’ superintendent David Jeck. “Jason will keep the school moving in the right direction and will bring his own unique and very effective leadership style to GCPS. He is a very talented administrator and we look forward to the many great things he will bring to Greene County Primary
