A balanced life
“A just weight and balance are the Lord’s: all the weights of the bag are His work,“ Proverbs 16:11.  To have a balanced life is to have a steady upright walk with God.  To have a steady upright walk with God, we must know that our Lord is just in all His dealings with us.  If He gives us a thorn in the flesh on one side of the scales, on the other side He will balance it with His sufficient grace.  If he calls us to do a work, He will give us the ability to do that work.  When we need to forgive those who have wronged us, He will enable us to do so.  Whatever He puts upon us, He will put in us to bear it.  God’s just weight will always be balanced with whatever enablement we need so that we may have a steady upright walk with our Lord.
Yes, God is at work taking weights out of His bag and placing them in our lives.  When He gives us a work to do, He gives us faith to do it.  When He gives us tribulation, He gives us patience.  We need only to keep in mind that our Lord is just in all His dealings with us and that He is at work balancing our lives so that our walk with Him will be a steady and upright one.
