“What must I do to be saved?“ This question was asked by a Philippian jailer; and the answer that Paul and Silas gave to him is the same today. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thy shalt be saved, and thy house,“ Acts 16:30-31. Yes, the Philippian jailer, his house, and every individual to be saved must “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.“ Jesus is the only Savior; “Neither is there salvation in any other: for these is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved,“ Acts 4:12.
If a person plans to enter into heaven by some other way then believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, he or she will be in an eternal disappointment. Jesus said, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me,“ John 14:6.
Yes, Jesus made the way to the Father’s house (heaven) by going to the cross and dying for our sins, raising the third day for our justification, and ascending back to heaven to make intercession for us. Salvation is of the Lord; and when we by faith see this, then we can depart this life in peace. Until we are called home, we have a life to live and a work to do that will bring honor to Him name.
