GRACE will once again hold its annual Angel Tree program this Christmas season. We want to thank the businesses, churches and individual sponsors in our community for the gift of giving to our needy families over the past years. As Christmas comes upon us, we want the community to know that we are excited that we can count on you once again to be there for the children whom are less fortunate. With the economy being where it is at, many will be in need this Christmas season. God has blessed us with many sponsors throughout our community, and we are always accepting new faces, businesses and churches who may want to be a part.
Registration for the Angel Tree will take place Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 13-14 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the Grace office, located in the basement of the Stanardsville Baptist Church on Rt. 230 in Stanardsville. Shortly after registration, we will contact those interested to find out how many Angel cards you would like and will see that you have your cards for distribution and/or purchasing of the gifts. Our drop-off location for the gifts this year will be at the American Legion Hall, located on Madison Road (Rt. 230) in Stanardsville from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14. You may bring your wrapped/unwrapped packages at that time so we can organize and be prepared for distribution to the families on Dec. 17. We are also looking for volunteers for the dates above to help with all aspects of the program. You will be glad you became involved and, I assure you, you will be back next year to see the joy in helping our needy families in the county.
As always, if you have any questions for registration and/or to volunteer your time, you may call the Grace office at 434-985-6792 or Christine Eppard at 434-409-2344. May God continue to bless each of you for your efforts.
