July 10
A free seminar on “The Benefit of Charcoal” will be offered at Amicus Seventh-day Adventist Church Thursday, July 10 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Find out what charcoal is, how it is used and how to prepare mixes for spider bites, food poisoning, indigestion and several other ailments. July 10-11
Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church and Grace Episcopal Church joined together to bring Jerusalem Marketplace to Greene County. Grace Episcopal Church is a bustling marketplace where adults, teens and children are enjoying fun games, synagogue school, checking out the barnyard and visiting a variety of shops in the marketplace. Join us Thursday and Friday, July 10-11 as we continue the fun from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Snacks will be served. July 10-11, 13
Holy Trinity Church of Madison continues celebrating its 75th anniversary Thursday-Friday, July 10-11 with Evangelist Charlene Kearney of Washington, DC providing the inspirational messages at 7:30 p.m. both nights. The closing service will be held Sunday, July 13 with Pastor Larry Hailes of Portsmouth as guest speaker at the 11:30 a.m. service. After lunch, Pastor Bernard White of Suffolk will deliver the 3:30 message. Bishop Luther F. Hill, Jr. and first lady Doris Hill of Holy Trinity invite you and your family to fellowship with them. July 11
A gospel sing will be held July 11 at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, Orange, beginning at 6 p.m. with dinner, (we will have sandwiches) and everyone is welcome; at 7 p.m. open stage and prayer requests and at 8 p.m. the featured group will be The Yoder’s from Farmville. Take Route 20 North of Orange to Route 631 across from Orange County Airport; go to large white church on the right. A love offering will be received. July 12
A lawn party will be held at South River Church on Saturday, July 12 beginning at 4 p.m. There will be fried chicken, country ham, mutton and lots of veggies and desserts. Please join us.

July 13-18
Revival services at Bethel Baptist Church (four miles south of Ruckersville, corner of Burnley Station Road, Rt. 641) with Evangelist Don McCann as speaker will be held July 13-18 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Nursery and special singing provided at each service. An ice cream social will be held Friday night following the program. Everyone is welcome.

July 14-18
Vacation Bible School Back-to-Basics will be held July 14-18 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Amicus Seventh-day Adventist Church, 15075 Spotswood Trail, Route 33. We will be featuring crafts involving sewing, gardening, woodworking, food preparation and hands-on nature exploration.

July 20-24
Laurel Hill Baptist Church, 3595 Grand Forks Boulevard, Charlottesville, off Airport Road, is having Vacation Bible School July 20-24. The theme is “Power Lab, discovering Jesus’ miraculous power.” The nightly meals start at 5:30 p.m. at $2 per person or $10 per family. VBS is from 6:30-8:45 p.m. Children should be picked up by 8:45 p.m. If you have questions, call the church office at 973-6125.

July 21-25
Stanardsville United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School (Surfin’ through the Scriptures) will be held Monday-Friday, July 21-25 with preschoolers VBS beginning at 5 p.m. with dinner and ending at 7:15 and VBS for kindergarten and up 6-8:30 p.m. At this beach party your children will become surfers riding the wave of God’s love and will experience beachcomber crafts, singing, rockin’ rec games, Bible-story time learning the beach ‘be-attitudes’ and tasty snacks and missions at the snack shack. Come and enjoy the surf and sand at Stanardsville UMC across from the courthouse in Stanardsville Monday-Friday, July 21-25. To register, contact Amy Wayland at 985-7466. Hope to see you there.

July 26
Bingham United Methodist Church, Dyke, will have a one-day Bible School on Saturday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For information call 832-5364. The pastor is Buster Payne.

July 28-31
Emmanuel Christian Center will hold Vacation Bible School Monday-Thursday, July 28-31 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The theme is “Chosen Champions for Jesus,” with classes for all ages. For more information or transportation contact the church office at 985-6401.

Swift Run Baptist Church is getting children connected to God; parents bring your children to join us for our new and exciting Children’s Church. Tuesday’s Table, a ministry providing a free meal to anyone in need, whether the need is economic, spiritual, fellowship, or whatever (no questions asked) is held every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stanardsville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Court Street (across from the Courthouse) in downtown Stanardsville.  Food is provided and prepared by Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, Mt. Vernon, Stanardsville, Mountain View and Westover United Methodist churches, Spring Hill Baptist Church, Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and other service organizations.
