June 12-13
Vacation Bible School continues through June 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 71 Shiloh Road, Stanardsville, with classes for ages three to adults.
Ruckersville Baptist Church, one block East from Route 29/33 intersection, on Rt. 33 East and Moore Road, will hold Vacation Bible School through Friday, June 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.
June 13
A Gospel Sing will be held Friday, June 13 at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, Route 20 North of Orange, turn onto Route 631 across from Orange County Airport; go to large white church on right. At 6 p.m. there will be a covered-dish dinner and everyone is welcome; at 7 p.m., open stage and at 8 p.m. the James Lawhorn Family from Bedford will be special entertainers. Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2620 Frays Mill Road, Ruckersville, is holding a car show and chili cook-off Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting). Shepherd of the Hills Church, Amicus Road, Quinque, is hosting an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner for Greene County Habitat for Humanity Saturday, June 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. All are welcome. For more details contact 434-985-3929.

June 15-20
Vacation Bible School will be held June 15-20 at Stanardsville Baptist Church with the theme “Outrigger Island, Living God’s Unshakeable Truth.” Catch a wave for Bible study, crafts and outdoor fun Sunday through Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Registration is June 15 and family night hot dog supper will be Friday at 7 p.m.

A Gospel Sing will be held June 21 at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in memory of Hobert Bourne, Sr. from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Bourne Family Gospel Singers and Don Sisk and New Highway Gospel group as guests. Ruckersville Baptist Church Homecoming and Revival (Rt. 33 East and Moore Road) will be held Sunday-Wednesday, June 22-25, with the Rev. Roger Roller conducting homecoming service Sunday morning and revival services nightly at 7 p.m. Earl Brewer, pianist, will perform for homecoming day service and special music is planned nightly.

Vacation Bible School will be held at Nathanael Greene Elementary School Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. for children 4 through 12; bring a friend, win a prize. The theme is Amazon Expedition (a brand new VBS by http://www.answeringenesis.com) which takes kids through the entire Bible in five days! Contact for more details.
Mt. View United Methodist Church will have Vacation Bible School Monday-Friday, June 23-27 from 9 a.m. to noon. We will have Bible study, crafts, recreation and refreshments each day. We invite ages three and up to join us for a week of learning and fun. There will be a program Friday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a picnic for everyone.

Westover United Methodist Church will have their annual lawn party on June 28 with lots of buffet-style food being served beginning at 5 p.m. Adults $8 and children $4; all-you-can-eat. Come and enjoy this wonderful time of fellowship and food. For more details call (434) 985-2709.

Tuesday’s Table, a ministry providing a free meal to anyone in need, whether the need is economic, spiritual, fellowship, or whatever (no questions asked) is held every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stanardsville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Court Street (across from the Courthouse) in downtown Stanardsville. Food is provided and prepared by Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, Mt. Vernon, Stanardsville, Mountain View and Westover United Methodist churches, Spring Hill Baptist Church, Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and other service organizations.
