Oct. 9-Oct. 26
Fellowship Baptist Church, 725 Gate Road, Madison, will be hosting the “One Nation Under God” program each Sunday Oct. 9-Oct. 26. Children, teens and adults can come together to celebrate our American history and heritage that is so often left out in our public schools and arenas. Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church offers Parenting Class. Join a small group of parents for five sessions exploring parenting children and teens for confidence, responsibility, positive discipline, and faithful living. Pastor Jay Sanderford will be the leader as we explore the nitty-gritty stuff of parenting in the 21st century. October 16, 17, 18
Revival & Homecoming, South River Methodist. The Rev. Henry Aylor will be the speaker for the revival at South River. October 16-18th. Special music will be Steve Minter the 16th, Precious Memories on the 17th, and Jimmy Lamb on the 18th, beginning at 7:30pm. Homecoming will be October 19th with the Rev. C. C. Kurtz as speaker. The Faruque Family will have special music. Mt. Vernon Methodist Church will share our homecoming services at 11:00AM.

October 24
Area youth are invited to showcase their talent in the first “The Gospel” youth talent showcase Friday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Road, Rixeyville. There are five categories: solo, duo/group, dance/step, spoken word and instrumentalists; winners awarded trophies as determined by local area judges. October 25
Westover United Methodist Church Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 beginning at 8 a.m. Bruce Johnson will be making Brunswick stew in a big iron kettle and grilled hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available beginning at 11:30. The stew can be ordered in advance at $10 per quart or you can enjoy a bowl at church. Entertainers announced later; spaces for rent, bring own tables for items you may have to sell. October 26-28
Homecoming and Revival. Stanardsville Baptist Church - 80th anniversary.  Join us on Sunday morning for worship service at 11:00 AM followed by fellowship luncheon, and each evening at 7:00 PM.  Guest speaker, Rev. Swift Run Baptist Church will be having there Harvest Festival,
Sunday, October 26th. Games start at 3:30pm. Soup and sandwiches at 5:00pm. Bring your favorite crock pot of soup and join us as the church provides grilled cheese sandwiches and peanut butter sandwiches, coffee and drinks. Costume Parade at 6:15 ( please no scary or bloody costumes ) with Trick or Trunking starting at 6:30pm. Fun time for all!

Swift Run Baptist Church is getting children connected to God; parents bring your children to join us for our exciting Children’s Church. We will be exploring fun and creative ways to learn God’s word on Sundays at 11 a.m. Swift Run Baptist early worship begins at 9 a.m., Sunday school at 10, morning worship at 11 and 7 p.m. on Sunday evenings. Tuesday’s Table is a ministry providing a free meal to anyone in need, whether the need is economic, spiritual, fellowship, or whatever (no questions asked) and is held every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stanardsville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Court Street (across from the Courthouse) in downtown Stanardsville.  Food is provided and prepared by Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, Mt. Vernon, Stanardsville, Mountain View and Westover United Methodist churches, Spring Hill Baptist Church, Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and other service organizations.
