A Gospel Sing will be held Friday, Aug. 8 at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, Orange, with dinner at 6 p.m., (bring a covered-dish if you like, everyone is welcome); at 7 p.m. open stage and prayer requests and the featured group at 8 p.m. will be “The Blood Connected” from North Carolina. A love offering will be received. Take Rt. 20 north of Orange to Rt. 631 across from Orange County Airport, large white church is on the right. The Angel Food Ministry food boxes are available at New Life Baptist Church in Ruckersville. The boxes cost $30 and will include enough food to last a family of four for a week or a single person for a month. The deadline to order is Aug. 8; delivery will take place Aug. 23.

Bacon Hollow Baptist Church, Dyke, will have homecoming Sunday, August 10 at 10 a.m. with David Crawford as guest speaker. Revival will be held Monday - Friday, Aug. 11-15 at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Don McCann.

Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church is pleased to host a lawn party and concert featuring David M. Tuesday’s Table is a ministry providing a free meal to anyone in need, whether the need is economic, spiritual, fellowship, or whatever (no questions asked) and is held every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stanardsville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Court Street (across from the Courthouse) in downtown Stanardsville. Food is provided and prepared by Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, Mt. Vernon, Stanardsville, Mountain View and Westover United Methodist churches, Spring Hill Baptist Church, Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and other service organizations.
